Cooking
If you are really taken with Cambodia cuisine, it is possible to learn some tricks of the trade by signing up for a cooking course but there ale very few courses on offer compared with neighboring Thailand and Vietnam. For those who fall in love with the food, there is no better experience than recreating the real recipes back home. It’s also a great way to introduce your Cambodian experience to your friends; no-one wants to hear the stories or see the photos, but offer them a mouth-watering meal and they will all come running.
Language
The only language courses available in Cambodia at present are in Khmer and are aimed at expat residents of Phnom Penh rather than travelers. If you are going to be based in Phnom Penh for some time, however, it would be well worth learning basic Khmer.

Also check out the notice board at the: Foreign Correspondents’ Club (FCC) where one-hour lessons are often advertised by private tutors.
